Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Red Devils vs. Tattnall County Warriors

The Jackson Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Tattnall County Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Jackson has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jackson is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Tuesday. They came up short against Whitewater, falling 14-6.

Meanwhile, Tattnall County got themselves on the board against Portal on Tuesday, but Portal never followed suit. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 4-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Tattnall County's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lane Dutton, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Dutton is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Dixon Burkhalter also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Jackson now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Tattnall County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
