Basketball Recap: Sotomayor Wolves vs. Maywood CES Wolfpack

The Sotomayor Wolves lost against the Maywood CES Wolfpack two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sotomayor's rough 47-22 defeat to the Wolfpack might stick with them for a while. Sotomayor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Sotomayor still got an impressive performance from Angie Mendoza, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sofia Vega, who scored three points along with four steals.

Sotomayor's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Maywood CES, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Sotomayor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maywood CES also has no future games currently scheduled.
