Baseball Recap: Cedar Shoals Comes Up Short

Cedar Shoals was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to the Jackson County Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Saturday.

Cedar Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Jackson County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Shoals will square off against Clarke Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Clarke Central has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Jackson County, they will challenge Jefferson at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
