Soccer Recap: Treutlen Triumphs

After losing to Hawkinsville the last time they met, Treutlen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Treutlen won by a goal and slipped past Hawkinsville 2-1. Alex Sammons had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Treutlen got from the refs.

Johnny Johnson and Christopher Meza-Avila scored both of Treutlen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Treutlen's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Hawkinsville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Treutlen will be playing at home against Georgia Military College at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hawkinsville, they will face off against Dublin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
