Basketball Recap: Tomball Finds Home Court Redemption Against Klein Oak

There's no place like home for Tomball, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Klein Oak Panthers on Friday. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 36-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Tomball had a senior duo take command as Kylee Symons posted 17 points and six boards and Mallory Lehmann put up 15 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Symons has scored all season.

Klein Oak's loss came despite strong showings from Maci Mote and Kiana Vega. Mote had 19 points and four steals, while Vega earned ten points and eight rebounds. That was a full 47.5% of Klein Oak's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Tomball's record is now 12-3. As for Klein Oak, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.

Tomball wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-43 defeat against Tomball Memorial on the 17th. As for Klein Oak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-19 win against Magnolia West on the 17th.
