Football Recap: Ravenna Takes a Loss

Ravenna had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it six. They took a blow against the Streetsboro Rockets, falling 49-3. The matchup marked the Ravens' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Streetsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The result was nothing new for Streetsboro, who have now won five contests by 35 points or more so far this season.

Streetsboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Council, who rushed for 110 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Giacomo, who picked up 106 receiving yards and three scores.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ravenna will challenge rival Coventry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Streetsboro is set to square off against their familiar foe Field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
