Soccer Recap: Seaside Comes Up Short

Seaside fell victim to Gonzales and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Gonzales Spartans. Seaside was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Gonzales earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Seaside and nudges their season record down to 2-7-1. As for Gonzales, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seaside will welcome Greenfield at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Greenfield's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Gonzales has already played their next game (against Stevenson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
