Softball Game Preview: Southeast Colorado Angels vs. Rocky Ford Meloneers

The Southeast Colorado Angels will take on the Rocky Ford Meloneers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Southeast Colorado has nine straight wins, Rocky Ford has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Saturday, Southeast Colorado got the win against Alamosa by a conclusive 17-7. The result was nothing new for the Angels, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rocky Ford didn't have quite enough to beat Alamosa on Tuesday and fell 8-7.

Rocky Ford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Southeast Colorado, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.

Southeast Colorado took their win against Rocky Ford when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 13-2 score. Do the Angels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Meloneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
