Del Norte is 8-0-2 against Mt. Carmel since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Del Norte Nighthawks will square off against the Mt. Carmel Sundevils at 7:00 p.m. Del Norte's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Del Norte fell victim to Westview and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of San Marcos. That's two games in a row now that the Sundevils have lost by just one goal.

Mt. Carmel's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Del Norte, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-3.

Del Norte beat Mt. Carmel by a goal in their previous meeting on January 14th, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Del Norte since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
