Basketball Recap: Kennedy Catholic Piles Up the Points Against Saegertown

With a playoff win on the line, Kennedy Catholic rose to the challenge on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 55-18 victory over the Saegertown Panthers. Kennedy Catholic has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 23 points or more this season.

Kennedy Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tori Harvey, who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points and five steals. That's the most points Harvey has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Layke Fields, who went 5-for-6 to rack up 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

The victory (which was Kennedy Catholic's third in a row) raised their record to 16-5. As for Saegertown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Kennedy Catholic will square off against Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saegertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
