Football Recap: Apollo Ridge Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Apollo Ridge walked away with it. They blew past the Riverside Panthers 28-7 on Friday. 28 seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Alex Clawson threw for 66 yards on seven of 13 attempts. Jaden Mccray was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

Apollo Ridge's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.8 points on average over those games. As for Riverside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Apollo Ridge nor Riverside have any future games scheduled.
