Basketball Recap: Del Lago Academy Comes Up Short

If Del Lago Academy was feeling good fresh off their 48-23 takedown of Escondido Adventist Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Del Lago Academy Firebirds fell to the Tri-City Christian Eagles 37-33. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-27 back in January.

Katie Busch was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds for Tri-City Christian. Busch has been hot, having posted ten or more boards the last six times she's played. Ava Johnson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Del Lago Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Tri-City Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

As of now, neither Del Lago Academy nor Tri-City Christian have any future games scheduled.
