Basketball Recap: Vaux Big Picture Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jada Smith and Tiana Bullock

On Tuesday, Vaux Big Picture came up short against the Franklin Towne Warriors and fell 29-16. Vaux Big Picture has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Vaux Big Picture had strong showings from Tiana Bullock, who posted nine points, and Jada Smith, who scored two points and seven rebounds.

Franklin Towne found their leader in freshman Makayla Cruz, who put up 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cruz has scored at least a third of Franklin Towne's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laella Alicea, who earned seven points.

Vaux Big Picture now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Franklin Towne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Vaux Big Picture won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Philadelphia Electric Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin Towne, they will host Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
