Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Riley Johnson stepped things up a notch to give Heritage Christian the 'W'. Johnson posted 12 points and five steals. The effort marked the most steals she has had since back in November of 2024. She is becoming a predictor of Heritage Christian's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 7-2 (and 5-10 when she doesn't).

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian and Eastern Hancock will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. The contest will pit Johnson up against the Royals' star point guard McKenzie Koch.
