Basketball Recap: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Leuzinger Olympians
After flying high against Fillmore on Tuesday, Cleveland came back down to earth. The Cleveland Cavaliers received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 58-44 to the Leuzinger Olympians. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Olympians recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Leuzinger was led to victory by Brianna Ike and Tatyana Aubry. Ike dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards, while Aubry posted 15 points in addition to five assists and five steals. The matchup was Ike's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anna Lolohea Leka, who put up eight points and nine boards.
Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Leuzinger, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-8.
Cleveland will take on Lawndale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lawndale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Leuzinger, they will take on Moorpark in a tournament on Thursday.
