Marcus made his presence known in Rutland's 20-0 win
While Monday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Kaelix Marcus. Kendrick had no answer to Marcus on Monday as he scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.
Marcus' strong effort led Rutland over Kendrick and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Rutland is 9-0 against Kendrick going back to April of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
