Lafayette County's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Warrensburg Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-7 two weeks ago.

Lafayette County's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Warrensburg, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coincidentally, Lafayette County and Warrensburg will both be playing St. Michael the Archangel the next time they take the field. The Huskers will head out to face the Guardians at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will host them at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
