Troy came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Towanda Black Knights, posting a 68-27 win. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Black Knights are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Troy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyssa Parks, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Gloria Andrews, who posted 12 points and five assists.

Troy has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Towanda, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy will face off against Athens at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Towanda, they will square off against Wellsboro at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
