It was a good run, but Joshua unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They and the Tyler Lions were almost perfectly matched up, but the Owls suffered a 17-16 loss. The Owls were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Joshua's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Tyler, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Joshua is set to take on their familiar foe Red Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tyler will square off against rival Cleburne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
