Soccer Recap: Royal Takes a Loss

Royal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bakersfield Christian Eagles. If Royal were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Bakersfield Christian when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Royal's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Bakersfield Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Royal will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Agoura at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. Bakersfield Christian and Porterville will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
