Football Recap: Union Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Broken Arrow

Union faced Broken Arrow in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Redhawks took a hard 29-10 fall against the Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, the Redhawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Broken Arrow found their leader in sophomore Colton Barlow, who made 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defended one pass. Corey Sango was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.

Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Broken Arrow, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Union has already played their next matchup, a 44-7 win against Westmoore on the 30th. As for Broken Arrow, they will square off against Edmond Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
