Soccer Recap: St. Edmond Comes Up Short

St. Edmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the Marshalltown Bobcats. While losing is never fun, St. Edmond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Marshalltown are ranked 31st).

St. Edmond's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Marshalltown, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Edmond will challenge Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marshalltown, they will take on Des Moines North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
