Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Helias walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oak Grove Panthers on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won 18 contests in a row.

Leading Helias to victory were Sophie Verslues and Liza Boyer. Verslues had 26 digs and two aces, while Boyer had 14 digs and three aces. Those 26 digs gave Verslues a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Helias was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matches.

Helias' record is now 35-1-1. As for Oak Grove, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 35-1-1.

Helias wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Mt. Vernon on the 8th. As for Oak Grove, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Saxony Lutheran on the 8th.
