Recap: Cate Rams vs. Bishop Diego Cardinals
The Cate Rams lost against the Bishop Diego Cardinals back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Cate received a tough blow as they fell 34-18 to Bishop Diego. Cate has not had much luck with Bishop Diego recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jiali Coronado was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaymi Coronado, who scored seven points.
Cate's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bishop Diego, they pushed their record up to 17-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cate will challenge Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Clara is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Bishop Diego, they will head out on the road to challenge Foothill Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foothill Tech and Bishop Diego are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
