Marion Center skates past Purchase Line with ease

Recap: Marion Center Stingers vs. Purchase Line Red Dragons
The Marion Center Stingers entered their tilt with the Purchase Line Red Dragons with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Marion Center breezed by Purchase Line at home to the tune of 51-17. Given Marion Center's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Purchase Line is ranked 300th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marion Center's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Purchase Line, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion Center will face off against West Shamokin at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. West Shamokin comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Purchase Line, they will head out on the road to face off against Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Portage is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
