Softball Recap: Guardian Angels Central Catholic Gets the Win

Guardian Angels Central Catholic got themselves on the board against Bayard on Saturday, but Bayard never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Tigers. The Bluejays have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

The team relied heavily on Amiah Dirkschneider, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ava Cohee was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bayard only posted an OBP of .000.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.
