Baseball Recap: Lampeter-Strasburg Drops Highest Score of Season Against Solanco

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lampeter-Strasburg). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Solanco Golden Mules a 16-0 shutout on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Golden Mules: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cooper Hillen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Leaman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.

Lampeter-Strasburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Solanco only managed two hits.

Lampeter-Strasburg's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Solanco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
