Soccer Game Preview: Smidt Tech vs. Poly

The Smidt Tech Grey Wolves will take on the Poly Parrots at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Smidt Tech is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Smidt Tech didn't have quite enough to beat Animo De La Hoya and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Smidt Tech have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Poly rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Generals. Poly's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Poly's victory bumped their record up to 5-6-5. As for Smidt Tech, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Smidt Tech might still be hurting after the 23-0 defeat they got from Poly when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Grey Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
