Soccer Game Preview: Academy for Academic Excellence vs. University Prep

Academy for Academic Excellence is 0-10 against University Prep since January of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Academy for Academic Excellence Knights will be playing at home against the University Prep Jaguars at 3:00 p.m.

Academy for Academic Excellence came up short against Riverside Prep on Tuesday, falling 4-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, University Prep had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy a 3-0 shutout. Considering the Jaguars have won five games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

University Prep is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those six contests. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
