It was a proper cat-fight when Northwest Rankin duked it out with Madison Central on Friday. The Cougars fell 31-24 to the Jaguars. Despite 193 more yards than the Jaguars, the Cougars couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

When it comes to explaining why Northwest Rankin lost, don't look at De'Shawn Dillon. Despite the final result, he picked up 128 receiving yards and two TDs. With that strong performance, Dillon is now averaging an impressive 106.2 receiving yards per game. Marco Stapleton also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.

Northwest Rankin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Patrick Harper, Nick Fede, and Brennan Williams picked up one apiece.
