Basketball Recap: Benicia Takes a Loss

Benicia lost against Clayton Valley Charter back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Benicia Panthers lost 71-46 to the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Ugly Eagles are ranked 67th).

Benicia has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Benicia will be playing in front of their home fans against Armijo at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northgate will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Clayton Valley Charter surely won't give up without a fight.
