Wharton has gone 9-1 against Freedom recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wharton's last matchup with Sickles could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Wildcats were dealt a 68-41 loss at the hands of the Gryphons. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Gryphons since Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Tampa Bay Tech, falling 74-44. The Patriots were down 56-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wharton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Wharton took their victory against Freedom in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 54-29 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
