Soccer Recap: Colo-NESCO Comes Up Short

Colo-NESCO was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-2 to the Van Meter Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Colo-NESCO can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Van Meter are ranked 37th).

Colo-NESCO's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2. As for Van Meter, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-1-2.

Looking ahead, Colo-NESCO will venture away from home to face off against Creston at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Van Meter, they will welcome North Polk at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. North Polk will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Van Meter surely won't give up without a fight.
