The Coronado Islanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Clairemont 41-22. That looming 41-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Coronado yet this season.
Coronado got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Susanna Pate out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pate has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Virginia Ryan, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five blocks.
The win makes it two in a row for Coronado and bumps their season record up to 3-11. As for Clairemont, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coronado's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Mission Bay is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Clairemont, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Komets at 6:00 p.m.
