Basketball Recap: Elite Comes Up Short

Elite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Marin Academy Wildcats 64-7. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1158th, while the Wildcats are ranked 506th).

Savannah Barrow was Elite's leading scorer, having posted four points. Barrow also led the team in rebounds with 12. Abrea Williams-Anderson took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Elite's record is now 1-11. As for Marin Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Elite wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 38-4 loss against Chavez on the 28th. As for Marin Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-30 win against Ygnacio Valley on the 28th.
