After losing to Spalding the last time they met, Trinity Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Trinity Christian Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Spalding Jaguars 1-0. The Lions' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three games.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sebastian Yapor, which was the first he's scored this season.

Trinity Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Spalding, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will head out to challenge Sandy Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Christian's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Sandy Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Spalding, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on LaGrange at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
