Chagrin Falls proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by five) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat the Gilmour Academy Lancers by a goal, winning 3-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Chagrin Falls' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Gilmour Academy are ranked 276th).

Owen Edwards and Colin Struk-Marn scored all three of Chagrin Falls' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Chagrin Falls' win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Gilmour Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chagrin Falls will welcome Norton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Gilmour Academy, they will challenge Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
