Heritage hasn't had much luck against Rock Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. Heritage is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Heritage and Douglas County, and Heritage kept the tradition alive. The Eagles blew past the Huskies 15-8 on Thursday.

Bleu Meyer was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Maddie Barbre was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Rock Canyon earned a 7-4 win over Mountain Vista on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.
Rock Canyon let Dakota Dugan and Lucy Ueland run wild. Dugan went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and four runs, while Ueland went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Lowery, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Rock Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
Rock Canyon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Heritage has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Rock Canyon, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Heritage's sizable advantage in that area, the Jaguars will need to find a way to close that gap.
Heritage took their victory against Rock Canyon in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 12-6 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
