For the first time this season, Steele Canyon will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Granite Hills Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Steele Canyon's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Steele Canyon didn't have quite enough to beat La Jolla and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Granite Hills' offense. They fell 2-0 to Mater Dei Catholic on Friday. While losing is never fun, Granite Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 514th, while Mater Dei Catholic are ranked 30th).
