After only two runs in their last contest, Purdue Polytechnic made sure to put some runs up on the board against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on Saturday. The Techies put the hurt on the Crusaders with a sharp 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Techies, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Jackson Jeffers was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ja'Rell Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Purdue Polytechnic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Purdue Polytechnic's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Purdue Polytechnic will be playing in front of their home fans against Warren Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.14 runs per game on average), something the Techies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Lafayette Central Catholic on the 16th.
