            Softball Recap: East Jackson Eagles vs. Hebron Christian Lions        
        
		
        
        
            East Jackson extended their losing streak  to four  on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost  16-0 to the Hebron Christian Lions. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing  17-1 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Hebron Christian, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. Considering they have won seven games by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
For Hebron Christian's part,  Kate Kennedy looked comfortable as she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Kennedy has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jaycee Thornhill, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Ainsley Trenbeath was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 Looking ahead, East Jackson will square off against Discovery at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.4  runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hebron Christian, they will face off against Flowery Branch at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
