Soccer Game Preview: Downtown Magnets vs. Aspire Ollin

Downtown Magnets is 0-7 against Aspire Ollin since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Downtown Magnets Suns will welcome the Aspire Ollin Jaguars at 3:45 p.m. Downtown Magnets is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Downtown Magnets came up short against Annenberg and fell 5-3.

Downtown Magnets hit Annenberg with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Allison Escobedo, Amy Moreno, and Scarleth Orellana.

Meanwhile, Aspire Ollin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with an 8-2 win. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by three goals or more this season.

Aspire Ollin has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those seven games. As for Downtown Magnets, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Downtown Magnets might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Aspire Ollin when the teams last played back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Downtown Magnets was down 4-1.
