Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rosholt

Rosholt took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Antigo, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Red Robins 8-7. The win was familiar territory for the Hornets, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Tyler Kluck was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kluck was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Kluck wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cash Calhoun, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Calhoun has posted since back in April. Mason Lockery also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Rosholt's record is now 14-7. As for Antigo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Coming up, Rosholt will be playing in front of their home fans against Spencer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Antigo, they will head out on the road to square off against Medford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Robins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
