Soccer Recap: Sequoia Comes Up Short

Sequoia lost against Los Gatos back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Ravens might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Wildcats an easy 7-0 victory. While losing is never fun, Sequoia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 467th, while Los Gatos are ranked 87th).

Sequoia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-3-2 record this season. As for Los Gatos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1-2.

Sequoia and Los Gatos will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Ravens see the pitch they'll take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Los Gatos, their break will end when they face Los Altos at 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2026.
