Recap: Santa Catalina Cougars vs. Carmel Padres
The Santa Catalina Cougars had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 41-14 loss at the hands of Carmel. Santa Catalina lost against Carmel in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 45-34 score last time.
Carmel was led to victory by Lillian Grundy and Savanna Radowicz. Grundy scored 6 points along with 3 steals, while Radowicz scored 8 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Chloe LeMaster, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals.
Santa Catalina's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Carmel, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Santa Catalina will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carmel, they will head out on the road to face off against Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
