            Football Recap: Ironwood Eagles vs. Sunnyslope Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Ironwood came into their game  on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt  a  55-6 loss at the hands of the Sunnyslope Vikings. The Eagles have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
 Khavontae Paul threw for 84 yards and one  touchdown.   Ramsey Pyne was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and one  TD.  On the ground,  Nicholas Morrow rushed for 95 yards.
  Kelton Rogers produced another solid  performance rushing for 106 yards and three  scores on only 14 carries for Sunnyslope.  Royce Vanacore was another key player, throwing for 68 yards and three  TDs.
Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Sunnyslope, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. Ironwood will face off against Paradise Valley at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.83  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sunnyslope, they will challenge Dobson at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Vikings will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.67  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
