Softball Recap: Freedom Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Freedom Christian Academy has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 1.35 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the High Point Christian Academy Cougars, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 on Friday.

Victoria Bryant was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Freedom Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 22-4. As for High Point Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

While Freedom Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
