Recap: Laguna Beach Breakers vs. Marina Vikings
The Laguna Beach Breakers lost against the Marina Vikings back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Laguna Beach lost to Marina on the road by a decisive 50-32 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Laguna Beach in their matchups with Marina: they've now lost three in a row.
Marina found their leader in underclassman Rylee Bradley, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Bradley has scored at least a third of Marina's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Tejeda, who scored 11 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Laguna Beach has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Marina, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laguna Beach will take on Fountain Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fountain Valley is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Marina, they will be playing at home against Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
