Soccer Recap: Cornerstone Christian's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Christian). They blew past the Public Safety Academy Phoenix 11-1 on Monday. It was an even better day for Aleena Gutierrez as she scored three goals for her team.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Cornerstone Christian, bringing their record for this year to 4-2-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Public Safety Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4-1.

Cornerstone Christian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Loma Linda Academy on the 16th. Public Safety Academy has also already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Redlands Adventist Academy on the 21st.
