Soccer Game Preview: El Capitan vs. Classical Academy

The El Capitan Vaqueros will face off against the Classical Academy Caimans at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. El Capitan's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

El Capitan is headed into Wednesday's contest following a draw, the team's first since the 4th. They and Oceanside finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Classical Academy's offense. They lost 4-0 to Mission Vista on Tuesday.

El Capitan's draw gives them a new season record of 3-2-2. As for Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2.

El Capitan couldn't quite get it done against Classical Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Vaqueros avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
